Judie and sister

Judie has practiced law in Indianapolis for the past thirty six years.  She is the team captain of Race for the Cure team Karen’s Angels. Julie founded her team ten years ago, in honor of her sister-in-law, Karen Terrell, a 13 year survivor. Judie will be hitting the runway at Project Pink as a Co-Survivor, in honor of Karen. Judie is an Administrative Law Judge and an attorney in private practice. She is also employed by Butler University as an Executive Career Mentor. “Judge Judie,” as she is known, is a native New Yorker with a Hoosier Heart.

When she is not practicing law, Judie spends a large portion of her time serving the community.  She serves on numerous Boards and organizations such as The Marion County Bar Association, The St. Vincent STAR Program, the National Council of Negro Women, and Dialogue Today.  She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Her most passionate service is on behalf of the Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure and she is excited to take her involvement with Komen even further as a 2015 Project Pink model. Judie has recently lost two friends to breast cancer and has vowed to do whatever she can to spread the word that “early detection is the key.”
