Cameo has been involved in Race for the Cure since 1999. On February 4th, 2014 Cameo was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then she has consistently undergone chemotherapy and radiation treatments. During this year’s Race for the Cure her son Cameron set a goal to have 100 people either donate to Team Cameo or walk in the Race with the team. Cameron formed the team for his “Make a Difference Project” at school to support his mom. Team Cameo also had the help of Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. Every person who signed up for Team Cameo earned a raffle ticket for a football signed by the beloved Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck. Team Cameo raised $6061 and had 144 people who donated or registered to walk in the Race!
