Nicole Osborne – 2018 Ambassador
City: Indianapolis, IN
Date of Diagnosis: 4/13/16
Nicole was not a stranger to hospitals. At age 34, she underwent open heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm. However, during late March 2016 she found a lump in her breast.
The diagnosis came shortly after and a treatment plan was made immediately. She received eight chemotherapy treatments, a double-mastectomy, and 25 rounds of radiation. Her treatment was completed June 2, 2017. During late October 2017 she had her first clear PET scan.
Today, Nicole is a writer for Haute Life Magazine, an interventionist in Perry Township, and the founder of After Cancer Adventures. Her mission is to help survivors and co-survivors navigate life “after cancer
“Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress. Don’t strive to make your presence noticed, just make your absence felt. Be part of something bigger than ourselves.”
