Mike Moran – 2019 Pink Tie Guy

Mike Moran is a financial advisor. Originally from Evansville, Mike has lived in Indianapolis for the past 16 years. He has two children – Kirin and Luke. He is married to Dr. Lisa Korff, a surgical breast oncologist with IU Health. She’s currently serving as the Breast Care Director for Ezkenazi Health. There she helps low income women get the breast cancer care they need. Komen Central Indiana provides grants to Eskenazi that fund needed cancer care social workers, who help patients obtain transportation to appointments, meals during treatment, wigs, post mastectomy bras and prosthesis for those who lack coverage.  Komen also provides funds for a Spanish interpreter who has dramatically improved the understanding of breast cancer and it’s treatment for Latino patients tackling issues such as breaking the myth that sins cause cancer.

His Passion: “I am passionate about helping others; whether it is coaching soccer, working as a Financial Advisor or volunteering at Zionsville Lions Park.  I love giving back to the community and hope to leave this world a little better place than when I entered it.”

A Surprising Fact About Mike: “I never played football in high school or college however I played semi-pro football for the Indianapolis Panthers in 1998.”

On His Bucket List: “My short-term bucket list is attending the Notre Dame game in Ireland 2020”

What He Can’t Live Without: “The Evansville staples: SKI (soda found in Evansville), Grippo’s (potato chips found in Evansville), and Stroms from Pizza King.”

Favorite Indy Restaurants: “I have lots of favorites.  I like St. Elmo’s and Cobblestone in Zionsville but my wife and I’s favorite is Oakley’s Bistro.”
