Emily Longnecker is the nightside reporter for Channel 13 Eyewitness News at 11. Emily moved to Indianapolis in 2007 and has come to consider the Hoosier state her second home. Much of her extended family, including her parents, still live in Emily’s hometown of Bradford, PA.

Emily is one of our models in honor of her cousin Carla, who passed away 7 years ago this July on her 45th Birthday.  Carla fought Stage 4 Breast Cancer for 5 1/2 years.

Why Emily Wants You To Help Komen:

“I think even the smallest amount can make a difference in fighting this terrible disease.

My cousin first found a lump in her breast at age 37 and her doctor told her it was nothing to worry about, that women her age didn’t get breast cancer. 2 years later, Carla was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer and was gone 5 years later. Carla was a beautiful and vibrant light in our family and everyone adored her.

It’s important to do everything we can to fight a disease that robs so many families of their own beautiful lights.”
