2017 Pink Tie Guy – Chad Ashcraft
Chad Ashcraft is an Executive Vice President of OurHealth. He is originally from Muncie, Ind. and has lived in Indianapolis for the last nine years. Chad and his wife Rachel have two children together: Drake, age 4 and Leo, age 1.
Chad says he is passionate about this cause because he’s seen how many families are affected by breast cancer. “During my time at OurHealth, I have seen a number of our members impacted by the disease. We need to find a cure for the strong, caring women in our lives,” he said.
Why be a Pink Tie Guy?
My wife actually gave me the boost to step up and accept the challenge. She was previously involved with Susan G. Komen as a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority while at Indiana University. She brought to my attention the important personal contribution that I can make in breast cancer awareness, education, and support for survivors.
Favorite vacation spot: Anywhere we haven’t been before; we like to mix it up.
Favorite watering hole in Indy: Meridian Hills Country Club
Random fact that not many people know about you: I can swim underwater holding my breath for an unsafe amount of time.
Dream car: I’m not a big “car guy,” but I’ve always wanted a vintage motorcycle with a sidecar.
Favorite color: Orange
Other fun fact: I was a one-time spokesmodel for a friend’s clothing company. All that remains is an embarrassing, and rather revealing, online commercial. I’ll send the URL to anyone who donates to this great cause.
